      02/01/12- 03/26/12	City Arts Drama Center Spring classes Greensboro Cultural Arts Center City Arts Drama Center Spring classes Presented by City Arts Drama Center at Greensboro Cultural Arts Center February 1-March 26, 2012 Should you be on stage or on TV? The City Arts Drama Center is getting ready for the spring semester of theatre classes. Offerings include Musical Theatre, Characterization, Acting for the Camera, Broadway Dance and Acting Techniques. The classes are for those in kindergarten through adult. Classes begin the first week of February.
      01/21/12- 12/09/12	Suah Youth West African Dance and Drum Classes Greensboro Cultural Arts Center Suah Youth West African Dance and Drum Classes Presented by Dreammaker Enterprise Production Company at Greensboro Cultural Arts Center January 21-December 9, 2012 These Youth African Dance and Drum Classes are offered to all youth ages 5 to 15. Boys and girls are welcomed. These classes taught by Mr. Wesley L. Williams Jr (Former dancer of the Chuck Davis "African American Dance Ensemble") are good instructional classes for all youth beginners and intermediate students. Men and women are welcomed. This class taught by Mr. Wesley L. Williams Jr (former dancer of the Chuck Davis "African American Dance Ensemble") is a good instructional class for beginners and a great mid/high level class for those of you who have taken African dance before. You will not only learn about West African dance but the culture, music (drums) and song as well....

Presented by City Arts - Livestock Players Booster Club at Greensboro Cultural Arts Center February 25, 2012 Join City Arts (home of Livestock Players, The Children's Drama Center, Greensboro Playwrights' Forum and much more) for our biggest FUNdraiser of the year. $25 gets you food and a show, plus bid on silent auction items and go home with a new treasure. This year's theme is a Western murder mystery with unique and exciting twists, plus opportunities to sing along with the cast.

All-Stars from the Negro League would play All-Stars from the organized Major League. This was a game where one team had something to gain and the other thought they had a lot to lose. For the black all-stars, this was their chance to shine, to let white America know they were just as capable of playing in the majors. For the white All-stars, pressure was on them to win in a way to prove their brand of baseball was much more superior...
      03/18/12	Artists Reception for 'Hell Purgatory Paradise' Greensboro Cultural Arts Center Artists Reception for 'Hell Purgatory Paradise' Presented by African American Atelier, Inc at Greensboro Cultural Arts Center March 18, 2012 The African American Atelier Inc. will have an artists reception featuring artist Gale Fulton Ross and her Traveling Exhibit, "Hell Purgatory Paradise."
