  About the artist: Julie Welch currently resides in Greensboro, NC with her long-time partner Andy, and two children, Ethan and Neko. Blending her love of music and photography, Julie sets out to capture people as they do what they love: performing for others. Specializing in performance photography, Julie most often photographs live music, parades, and various other types of performance (although her photographic portfolio is certainly not limited to these). She has been published numerous times in GoTriad, The Independent, Mountain Express, and most recently, in The Oxford American Eighth Annual Southern Music Issue.
