Greensboro Ballet

The School of Greensboro Ballet is the only non-profit ballet school in the city, and one of a relative few in the country. Our goal is to offer the finest dance education to children of all ages. Some of our students have a serious interest in this art form and hope to make it their profession one day. The majority of students simply find it an enjoyable activity. Our curriculum, teaching methods and performance opportunities offer all of our students a program of learning that is age appropriate, challenging, invigorating and enjoyable no matter what the goal of the individual student.

    I appreciate very much the fact that the Greensboro Ballet presents its students in such a appropriate manner. The students present excerpts from classical ballets and are simply and modestly costumed (free of charge, thank you very much.) Their jazz dances demonstrate a strong technique along with showmanship, minus any inappropriate movements or gestures. Again, costuming is appropriate for a young lady. Thank goodness my daughter studies where she will be presented in a manner that generates pride in her accomplishments without exploiting her as some sort of "idol" character. Bravo, GB! Collapse

    I just saw the School Show version of this performance with my children's classes this morning and it was wonderful! This condensed version was so great that I am going to take my daughter again later this weekend to the full-length version. Can't believe these talented and gorgeous dancers are all from Greensboro/Triad! This will definitely become an annual event for our family for many, many holidays to come. Collapse
