    Royal Expressions Contemporary Ballet

    Professional Dance Productions. A new, professional dance company, Royal Expressions Contemporary Ballet has emerged in Greensboro, NC, comprised of five dancers under the artistic direction of Princess Howell. The company has a unique style that uses the precision of ballet and the expression of contemporary and jazz dance styles. The company will operate as a nonprofit and the 501(c)(3) application is currently in process. Our premier performance will be held in November 2009. Our school focuses on developing professional level dance technique and an appreciation for dance. The curriculum focuses heavily on Ballet, Contemporary/Modern, and Jazz and alternate classes will include Tap, Hip Hop, and Musical Theatre. The school teaches ages five to adults. Technique classes will focus on developing professional level technique and promote professional dance as a career option. Adult classes will focus on developing an appreciation and love of dance because of the positive physical, mental, and emotional impact it can have on an individual. We also offer a pre-professional program in the school for ages 18-21 to teach serious students who wish to dance professionally. These students will have opportunities to perform with the professional dance company, thus giving them a competitive edge in their careers. Outreach Programs. The outreach program focuses on teaching dance to underprivileged youth, physically and mentally challenged individuals, and elderly citizens. Youth who may not otherwise have an opportunity to take a dance class will be given a chance to learn dance techniques and perform it for their family and friends. We will go into businesses for physically and mentally challenged individuals and elderly citizens and teach them practical dance techniques that may be helpful for their conditions. We want to touch people’s lives with the gift of dance, hoping to create a love of dance in these individuals. Please contact us to see if you qualify for an outreach program at your location.
