    This year's Wizard Of Oz is a "must see". The talent is incredible and the effects so true to life. I saw both shows yesterday on opening day and loved seeing it a second time

    This was a well done production, and nice to see a live production of a play that, for most of us, we only know from the movie. The acting was very good, in particularly Susan Jones as Nurse Ratched, Latimer Alexander as Billy, and Shane Luitjens as McMurphy. There were slow moments, but overall an interesting commentary on health care and status. The set design bothered me - having put a bathroom door between two exterior windows, which felt improbable.     My Daugheter and I are big gans of Hirspray, from the original movie, directed by John Waters, to the musical DVD with John Travolta, Nikki Blonski and Queen Latifa. However, we loved the Community Theatre of Greensboro's production best of all! We saw it opening night and have bought tickets to see it again tomorrow night. White the music and songs are the same as the ones we are familiar with, the story is told more completely than the musical DVED we are used to. From costumes to lighting, it is better than any Hiarspray production we have ever seen. I would urge anyone who loves live theatre to see this play. It is extremely well done. We sang along and danced with the cast during the last number "You can't stop the beat". Great Time! Collapse

    I went to see this musical two times and wished I could have been MORE!!! One would never guess that this was the first time of acting for most of these performers!!! Mitchell did an outstanding job working with so many children!! I LOVED Charlie!!! Perfect casting!!! Willy Wonka was awesome!! Again...Perfect casting!!! Such a great experience for many of these children. All the adults did great. Loved Violet's Southern Mom. Great stage presence!!!"Clever"!!! And Charlie's Grandpa!!!The child that loved to eat was so funny..The girl that sang "The Candy Man" was Great..Bring it back again!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!! Collapse

    The Community Theater of Greensboro's (CTG) production of "The Sunshine Boys' is phenomenal! The director and cast have impressively captured the humor of this Neil Simon comedy in their well-staged version of this popular play. Presented in the studio space of the Greensboro Cultural Arts Center, the audience is intimately connected to the actors and the laughter is contagious; it was incredible to hear so much raucous laughter during the show! We are lucky to have such an organization as CTG and so many talented actors in our community. "The Sunshine Boys is "must see" not only to support community theatre in Greensboro, but because this is a outstanding production with a superbly talented cast and great direction. Thanks CTG - and the cast of "The Sunshine Boys" for yet another top-drawer production. Who needs Broadway when we have such great talent here in Greensboro!! Collapse

    CTG's "Wait Until Dark" is stupendous. The acting talent is impressive and the production value superior. Mark Flora as "Harry Roat" and Miranda Loweder as "Susy Hendrix", exemplify the superlative talent that even a volunteer community theater can attract: they are both outstanding. This is not to discount the fine acting of the other cast members - for the entire cast is strong - but Mr. Flora and Ms. Lowder stand out for the ease and perfection with which they create and portray their difficult and demanding roles and leave the audience with substantive and memorable characters. Technically, the production is impressive with complex lighting and sound cues and active staging that all move together seamlessly to create a true sense of reality on a set that is on par with the sets one sees on the stages of professional regional theater companies. "Wait Until Dark" is deserving of our community's support and is well-worth seeing! Collapse
