Bookmarks

BOOKMARKS is a nonprofit organization that offers a free-to-the-public book festival committed to providing a positive literary experience for all ages and all demographics in the Triad and beyond; encompassing our community’s diverse cultures through collaborations; incorporating entertainment; and yielding a favorable economic impact for the community. The first two festivals have each drawn an audience of approximately 7,000 from the Triad, North Carolina, and beyond. The festival includes a specific area designed and targeted for children and families, with its ownvariety of tented venues. Community organizations and educational institutions join in the planning, programming and execution of the festival. BOOKMARKS brings authors of national, regional, and local renown as well as emerging authors — to share their work and love of reading together with community resources — to encourage reading; increase exposure to books; and improve education.
