Jim Malcolm has been described as "One of the finest singing voices in Scotland in any style" by Living Tradition Magazine, Scotland's top folk music publication. Radio Scotland said, "The new male voice of Scotland." And the Independent said, "One of the most outstanding talents to have emerged through the Scottish folk scene in years." As well as being a talented songwriter, Jim is one of the best interpreters of traditional music in Scotland, a fact amply attested to by his latest album, "Acquaintance," an album of all Robert Burns songs (I guess we can call these traditional songs). Jim was also the lead singer of the band Old Blind Dogs, one of the top fok bands in Scotland before returning to a solo career. Jim accompanies himself on guitar and harmonica and is one of the top harmonica players on the folk scene. Many of you will remember his excellent Sunday afternoon concert last October. This is a show you will not want to miss!
