    In celebration of the 50th anniversary of NASA, Captain Mike Lucas will make a special presentation to visitors of the Natural Science Center of Greensboro. The presentation will cover the early history of NASA and America's human spaceflight programs. Visitors will enjoy pictures and video clips of Projects Mercury, Gemini, and the Apollo Moon landing missions. Spacecraft and rocket models will be used to demonstrate how these missions were accomplished. The program will focus on the epic journey of Apollo 11, human's first visit to another world. The presentation, which is appropriate for all ages, will last approximately 50 - 55 minutes and will be followed by ample time for questions and answers. About Captain Mike Lucas - Captain Lucas is a pilot (Airbus A-320) with U.S. Airways. He has accumulated over 20,000 hours of flight time in his forty-plus years in aviation. He is a space historian and volunteer public speaker representing NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. He met and became friends with Alan Shepard in the early 1970's and over the years, has met almost all of the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo astronauts.
