    On Saturday, November 8th , the citizens of Greensboro and Guilford County are invited to honor our war veterans by honoring our flag. The Greensboro Elks’ Flag Retirement Ceremony begins at 11:00 am at the Veterans Memorial in Country Park, presided over by club officers and local Boy Scouts. Drop off your worn or damaged flags that are in need of retirement at the Elks Lodge, 2201 West Cornwallis Drive, any Saturday in October, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. Flags may also be left at the lodge during office hours, or at the Parks & Recreation Shelter Reservations office, located at 1001 Fourth Street.
