    This annual festival offers visitors the opportunity to collect, identify and mine for rock and mineral treasures (small fee for mineral mine tickets), create a rock pet, enjoy face painting and rock identification by the Greensboro Gem & Mineral Club. In addition, unique rock items, boxed rock collections, rock candy, cabochons and even geodes will be available for purchase. Have the geodes cut (while you wait) to reveal the crystals that have formed inside.
