Plan to move…. or be moved! with Shape Shifters and your friends or family! Bring an instrument, a sketch pad, a camera, your dancing feet, or just sit back and watch this improvisational event. This interactive performance will take place from 12:00-1:00PM in Festival Park, adjacent to The Cultural Center on Davie St in downtown Greensboro on Sunday, August 24th. During the event, interested folks can find out more about membership benefits and how to join or just enjoy this spontaneous artistic exhibition! Classes and workshops in the Cultural Center and a networking event will continue throughout the afternoon. Please contact us at shapeshiftersgso@gmail.com for more information. Shape Shifters, founded and directed by local performers Renee Heagney and Christine Kiernan is here to support the work of emerging contemporary artists through production, education, and networking opportunities. Shape Shifters is a non-profit organization (pending) whose goals include encouraging and supporting the creation and performance of original choreographic work by members of the artistic community. By providing networking opportunities and a supportive environment of artists for artists, we hope to nurture and enhance the creative experience in our community.
