Part of the Carolina Summer Music Festival’s inaugural season (August 14-31, 2008). Presented by Old Salem Museums & Gardens and Carolina Chamber Symphony Players. Final concert includes the Serenata in vano by Carl Nielsen, the Serenade for Flute, Violin and Viola, op. 25 by Beethoven, and concludes with Beethoven’s Septet in E-Flat, op. 20, which became one of Beethoven’s most popular compositions during his lifetime.
