Pull out your shagging shoes and Bermuda shorts! Beach Music in the Park in right around the corner! The 5th Annual BB&T Beach Music concert series in downtown Greensboro begins May 22. Over the last four years, CHS and our corporate partners have raised over $200,000 through the Beach Music series to help support our mission. The 2007 Concert Series saw more than 10,000 people in attendance with more than $50,000 raised to benefit CHS. Some of the top headliners in beach music - The Embers, Chairman of the Board, The Band of Oz, the Craig Woolard Band, and The Coastline Band – will set your toes to tapping this summer. The concerts will be held every Thursday from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., beginning May 22 and ending June 26. The concerts will be held at Kathleen Price Bryan Park - Festival Park – located on Davie Street between the YWCA and the Cultural Arts Center. Tickets are just $5 for this family-friendly event. All proceeds raised will benefit CHS, North Carolina’s leading resource in adoption and foster care with the mission to promote the right of every child to a permanent, safe, and loving home. Children’s Home Society of North Carolina has placed more than 13,500 children in adoptive homes since being founded in Greensboro in 1902.
