Paul Fleischman’s latest work focuses on one of our society’s need for instant gratification. In the production a struggling acting troupe attempts to compete with television, and it’s fulfillment of this need, by offering seven plays at once and letting the audience zap back and forth among them. From Chekhov to Beckett, Agatha Christie, Neil Simon, Tennessee Williams, and even Shakespeare, Zap is a theatrical collision of styles driven by a tell-all performance artist. This piece is sure to delight audiences with its fast paced wit and humor.
