Do you want to show off how great Greensboro is and can be? Are you spontaneous? Do you want to contribute to the first ever city-wide arts festival? Join us as Monkeywhale Productions collaborates with ArtBeat Greensboro in City Center Park on Saturday April 5, 2008 in an expression of love for our city. Come early, around 1:30pm, with a closed umbrella and meet your neighbors. At 2pm somebody will begin playing live music with an amplifier in the center of the park. When the music ends, open your umbrella, turn around in a complete circle and leave the park in whatever way you're facing. Do not open your umbrella until the moment the music ends! This is a visual art piece that will be covered by WXII, Fox News and several newspapers. If you'd like to see yourself as part of the Greensboro art scene and on the local news take part in this public expression of art. Bring everyone you know who's always looking for something interesting to do on a Saturday. Feel free to forward this e-mail to everyone you like. This event will kickoff the first of hopefully many collaborative arts festivals in Greensboro. Help us define a tradition.
