Samuel Lind Puerto Rican painter, graphic artist, sculptor, musician and poet creates his works in an art studio located in Barrio Medianía Alto in the town of Loíza. Lind who is also of African ancestry was born in an area where free slaves and free blacks settled and developed a culture unlike any other in Puerto Rico. This is where dancers and drummers communicate with each other in the mesmerizing rhythms of the bomba, where the primary colors are the green of the palm trees and the blue of the sea. These are the landscapes and traditions Lind has known from the time he was born, and this is what he expresses in his art.
