Join us for a fascinating overview of the history and development of Greensboro’s neighborhoods. Main presenters Gayle Fripp, historian and author, and Benjamin Briggs, Executive Director of Preservation Greensboro, will provide a historical context and include a video presentation of prominent buildings from the downtown neighborhoods. This program portrays the face of Greensboro through the history of its neighborhoods. How did these communities begin? Who lived there? What changes have time and fortune brought? Who lives there now? What has been preserved that continues to give flavor to a neighborhoods uniqueness, adding character and charm to Greensboro? Fripp and Briggs will also be joined by members of the neighborhood associations. So make sure to join us and other residents from across Guilford County for an enjoyable afternoon of conversation, and refreshments regarding neighborhood history.
