The auction will be held in the Atelier, which is located on the second floor of the Greensboro Cultural Center at 200 N. Davie Street. This special event will be used to raise funds for The 21st Annual African American Arts Festival (January 13 through March 31, 2008), as well as the Atelier Around the World Youth program. The mission of the African American Atelier is to promote an awareness, appreciation and sensitivity to the visual arts and culture of African Americans while working in harmony with other ethnic groups. Art work from many well know area artists including James Barnhill, Eric McRay, James Williams, Floyd Newkirk, James Huff, Alma Adams, Emmett Williams, Sandy Robertson, Leo Rucker, Brittain Peck, Jack Stone, Andrena Coleman, David Gaadt, Michael Pendergrass, Roy Nydorf, Hasaan Kirkland, and others will be auctioned. This event is being held to aid the organization’s ability to continue to provide quality programs for our community. Don’t miss this opportunity to network, acquire a piece of original artwork and support this very worthy cause!
