North Carolina Premiere of "Songs from the Edge," a 20-minute work for mezzo-soprano and string quartet that deals with experiences with breast cancer. Music by Ella Milch-Sheriff, words by Annette Pashayan, the piece is featured on a program of music by Jewish composers including Bloch, Schoenfield, Copland and Gershwin.
