Accidental Mummies of Guanajuato: Extended Run
January 1-January 20, 2013
Add Review/Comment
For the first time on the East Coast, the traveling exhibit "Accidental Mummies of Guanajuato" is on display at the Natural Science Center of Greensboro.
Now extended through Jan. 20, this rare collection mummies combines science, art, history and cultural anthropology to immerse the visitor in a historic city in Mexico nearly 100 years ago where deceased residents were naturally mummified in their crypts. Meet 28 of these naturally preserved mummies, learn how forensic science was used to uncover details about how they lived and how they may have died, and explore the culture that celebrates and reveres their ancestors.
