The Greensboro Jaycees have partnered with Guilford County government to provide manpower for a Beautification & Recycling project in McCleansville. We need 20 volunteers. For more information contact either DJ (treasurer@jaycee.org) or Alexis (secretary@jaycee.org).
What: (there should be something everyone can do) * * Clean up debris * * Sort salvageable items * * Recycle scrap metal (metal and trash dumpsters provided by DH Griffin) * * Demolition of small out buildings * * Fence and vine removal * * Other jobs as necessary – take before/after pictures, etc. What to bring: Participants are asked to bring a brown bag lunch if they would like to eat lunch on the property. The Open Space Committee will provide some drinks and snacks. Also, the folks at Hines Chapel Church which is on the site, will be selling food (including BBQ) and drinks. We will need equipment such as wheelbarrows, sledge hammers, crow bars, hammers, rakes, shovels, wire cutters, etc.). You will want to bring gloves, boots, a hat, and long sleeves for this work. (a right off the exit) Take a left on Hines Chapel Road End at the intersection with McLeansville Rd. Park along road
