Local Gospel Choir To Hold Auditions February 16, 2010 Greensboro, NC - Joyful Praise Community Singers announces open auditions for singers for the 2010 performance year. The 2010 performance year will consist of a diverse repertoire of spirituals, gospel anthems, and contemporary as well as traditional gospel choral music. The performance year will culminate with the group's second live recording. Auditions are open to adults 18 years of age and older with mature voices with a desire to learn the technique and unique history of gospel music in America. The group is under the direction of choral director Dr. Terry Poteat and has shared the stage with such gospel artist as Norman Hutchings, LeJuene Thompson, Kim McFarland, and later this spring with Tye Tribbett.
