The Greensboro Children’s Museum’s annual Kickoff to Kindergarten Parent Days event has been rescheduled from February 22nd, to Monday, March 1st due a change in the date for Guilford County Schools’ Magnet Fair. The Parent Days Event will take place at the Museum from 11am-1pm and 5-7pm and is free for parents of rising kindergarteners and their children. Knowing the whole process of getting children ready for Kindergarten can be a stressful time, The Greensboro Children’s Museum planned this event to help ease the transition and supply parents with the information they need to know. Representatives from Guilford County Schools and other community pre-K resources will be available to answer questions regarding transportation, school health & nutrition, after-school options, English as a second language, PTA, and Kindergarten curriculums. The event is co-sponsored by United Way of Greater High Point Children’s Initiatives, Guilford Education Alliance, Guilford Child Development, Guilford Partnership for Children, Guilford County Schools, Get Healthy Guilford, Guilford Education Alliance, High Point Museum, the Junior League of High Point, and the Greensboro Children’s Museum.
