Love is in the air at the Winston-Salem Symphony’s next Plugged-In Pops concert on Saturday, February 13, 2010, 7:30 p.m. at Reynolds Auditorium. The Symphony’s Valentine’s concert, Isn’t It Romantic, features vocalists Jenn Raithel Newman and Joe Cassidy performing great Broadway love songs with the orchestra. 

Featured on the program are selections from West Side Story, My Fair Lady, Oklahoma!, Cats, Phantom of the Opera and much more. The audience gets into the act with a sing-along of music from Carousel. Soprano Jenn Newman returns to the Winston-Salem Symphony after performing on the 2008 New Year’s Eve concert. Tenor Joe Cassidy, who has appeared on Broadway, network television, and regional theatre, is making his Winston-Salem Symphony debut.
