Downtown Jazz is alive and well at Churchill’s on Elm where The Upperlineup hosts a Jazz Jam Session every Thursday, 8-11. For years The Upperlineup has entertained jazz and other music lovers in the Triad. After years of performing mostly in Winston-Salem, they are now putting their signature on Greensboro to the delight of everyone who has experienced their music here. The jam sessions are a great way to provide an opportunity for other musicians and vocalists who wish to perform with an experienced ensemble in a classy room, such as Churchill’s. Simultaneously, the audience can enjoy a great evening of quality music along with the chance to see performers that otherwise might not be heard and the great atmosphere of Churchill’s on Elm. So mark your calendars for one of the best mid-week getaways without distant travel or additional cost.
