DESCRIPTION: For their Winston-Salem premiere engagement aerial dance company Bow & Sparrow is showcasing their signature high-flying dance with NeverAfter. They are taking their audience on a fantastical adventure down a rabbit hole to another world where people levitate, everything moves rhythmically, and everyone is simply mad. This evening length urban fairy tale for grown-ups comes complete with a cocktail party, a date gone wrong, and an aerial martini glass. The story follows a modern girl who's too busy to date through a comedic speed-dating mishap and into an alternate dimension where she just might find the time to get swept, literally, off her feet. Bow & Sparrow specializes in creating an interactive experience for audiences in a social fun setting. They make going to theater cool again, turning their shows into an old school hip style happening. There is a live DJ, performances happening around the room, a dance party afterwards and room in between the works to move around, chat and enjoy yourself. The show has many connections to Winston-Salem. It features a new commissioned set designed and painted by L.A.-based graffiti artist Hieronymus (a former Winston-Salem local), the tap styling of rhythm-master Julianne Harper (UNCSA alumna), the acting prowess of Zoe Galvez, the comedic zaniness of Chris Libby, and aerial works along with artistic direction by Kate Law & Alayna Stroud (UNCSA alumna).
