Two Greensboro authors, Lynn Salsi and James Young, combined their talents to bring the “Jack Tales to life through storytelling, art and music.”

Salsi, an adjunct English instructor at Guilford Technical Community College, is an author of 18 books, including the acclaimed “The Life and Times of Ray Hicks of the Jack Tales.” Young, manager of Greensboro’s Main Branch library, is author and/or illustrator of 24 books.

Young also is a musician, and plays with the Nutbush Ramblers.
Salsi .said, “This show is all about North Carolina culture, tradition and, of course, Appalachian history. The show is part of preserving the culture of Appalachian America, and includes Appalachian music and singing.”
