Add Review/CommentJoin us for activities to commemorate the 226th Anniversary of the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. Treachery & Fortitude, Women & the Guilford Courthouse Campaign Women, both Tory and Whig, played a significant role in the struggle for American Independence. Join Nancy Stewart to hear the story of our Piedmont foremothers. Visitor Center Conference Room. 12:30 until 3:00 p.m. Weapons Demonstrations & Revolutionary War Camp Life Take a trip back in time and visit with our Volunteers in Parks (VIP’s). Experience camp life, musket, rifle, and cannon firing demonstrations during the actual time of the battle 226 years ago. Battlefield Tour Stop 6 2:00 p.m. Guided Battlefield Tour Join Park Ranger John Durham for an in depth study of the fierce battle that took place at Guilford Courthouse. Walk the actual grounds that so many brave men fought and died on 226 years ago to the day. Meet at Visitor Center. NOTE: All outdoor activities are dependent upon good weather. In case of rain or severe weather, programs may be cancelled or conducted elsewhere. Call 288-1776 for information
