Have an instrument collecting dust in your attic? Need a gently used trumpet for your child to play in band? The Music Academy of North Carolina will host the 1st Annual Musical Instrument Consignment Sale to buy and sell gently used instruments. Beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 26th, community members are welcome to shop for quality used instruments. We will have many good, quality instruments that have been evaluated by area professionals. On Friday, September 25th from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. sellers can bring their used instruments for evaluation and pricing by area music professionals. If the instrument(s) sell on Saturday, September 26, the seller will receive the proceeds less a small commission which supports the music programs at The Music Academy of North Carolina. We’d also like to take time to thank all community members who have attended our annual Ice Cream and Music Festival. This year, however, we have decided that although the festival has served us and the community well for many years, it is time to change The Music Academy’s event focus to activities directly tied to our educational services.
