Center City Park will host “Sundays in the Park” on September 27, 2009. September’s Sunday in the Park will feature hands-on fun from the Greensboro Children’s Museum as well as music by Greensboro’s Community Choirs. Musical performances will be provided by three of Greensboro’s Community Choirs – the American Express Employees Gospel Choir, the Golden Triad Chorus of Sweet Adelines International and the Triad Pride Men’s Chorus. Organized in 1945, the award winning Golden Triad Chorus of Sweet Adelines brings together women from all walks of life who are dedicated to sharing their harmonies with others. The Triad Pride Men’s Chorus was formed in 1999 with the mission of performing choral music to entertain and enlighten while promotion equality. The Greensboro Children’s Museum will be in the Park featuring hands-on fun that is sure to delight children of all ages. The mission of the Museum “is to provide children with an interactive, educational learning experience that will enhance their daily lives and open their hearts and minds to an understanding of the world in which they live.” The 2009 Sunday's in the Park at Center City Park spotlights selected community resources each Sunday - bringing a new dimension to the family-friendly events - in addition to bands, crafts, and children's activities!
