12th annual Festival to open with the Kevin Kline comedy ‘The Extra Man,’ feature a Spotlight on Mexican Cinema and close with the Russian musical ‘Hipsters’
Filmmakers Peter Bogdanovich and David Gordon Green to receive Festival Awardsthe 12th annual Festival will screen 51 feature films and 70+ shorts from 33 countries, including the North American Premiere of the feature documentaries OSADNÉ and SOAP AND WATER and the U.S. Premiere of BASSIDJI.
The Festival will kick off with the Opening Night screening of THE EXTRA MAN, directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini and starring Kevin Kline, Paul Dano, Katie Holmes and John C. Reilly. The biopic ballet story MAO’S LAST DANCER, by Driving Miss Daisy director Bruce Beresford, will screen as the Centerpiece Premiere, and the Russian musical HIPSTERS, directed by Valery Todorovsky, will screen on the Festival’s Closing Night.
