Add Review/Comment"The Monarch Possession," written by Artistic Director Mike Gilbert, had it's world premiere in 2005 when it debuted at the City Arts Studio Theatre, and earned praise by both audiences and critics. That production was one of CLT'S most successful shows. Audiences laughed, cried, and screamed through two acts of scary FUN! One of the actors from that production, Joyce Kernodle, will take over the director's chair for this new production. "The Monarch Possession" is a thrilling tale about four actors who are forced to endure the most horrific time in the newly renovated Monarch Theatre. Taunted and terrorized by a demon, these actors must put aside their pety differences and come together in order to survive. Just in time for Halloween, this will be a great opportunity to bring your youth group or sunday school class for an alternative yet equally scary Halloween-themed show. This new production will use a revised script, featuring new and revised scenes and new scares! Director Joyce Kernodle has worked as a professional actress both on stage and screen, with credits from the Barn Dinner Theatre and theatres all across the country. She holds a BA in Theatre from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
