Spring Garden Bakery & Coffeehouse, located at 1932 Spring Garden Street, will host the Animal Rescue & Foster Program (ARFP) for a day of music, food, and puppies. Saturday, May 30th, from 10am-2pm, the ARFP and Spring Garden Bakery have teamed up to find some homes for abandoned puppies and to raise some biscuit bucks. The proceeds from the sale of every dozen homemade dog biscuits will be donated to ARFP to provide medical care for homeless dogs and cats.

The Animal Rescue & Foster Program is a 17 year old in-home foster care organization for abandoned puppies and kittens. 2009 has presented more than its share of homeless pets much due to the economy. Donations of pet food, used books, and gently used purses, will also be accepted by ARFP volunteers, from 10am-2pm on May 30th at the bakery. Children’s music will be provided by Lyn Koonce throughout the day.
