The Mixed Tape Film Series in conjunction with ACME Comics will host this rare, 35mm presentation of "Transformers: The Movie" on Thursday, June 4 at 7:30 & 9:30 p.m. Set in the year 2005, the movie features the transforming robots known as the Autobots as they scramble to fend off the villainous Decepticons and a mighty, evil force they have never dealt with before. Please note that this is not the live-action film released in theaters two years ago, but the original 1986 animated film featuring the voices of Leonard Nimoy, Eric Idle, and Orson Welles in his final movie role before his death in 1985. The movie features mild robotic violence, but is far more appropriate for children than either of the Michael Bay films. Tickets are $4 with $1 soda, pizza, popcorn, cookies and beer available in the concession stand.
