Storytelling Workshops at Greensboro StoryFest, May 16

Participate in four free storytelling workshops on May 16 at the 5th annual Greensboro StoryFest in Downtown Greensboro. The free storytelling workshops will be lead by folklorist/teller Charlotte Ross and African-American teller Priscilla Best will each lead a workshop starting at 9:45 a.m., followed by two additional workshops beginning at 11:15 a.m. led by Mark Twain impressionist, Marvin Cole, and headliner and Appalachian storyteller Donald Davis. Workshop participants will learn how to create, select and prepare stories from personal experience and other cultural sources and how to bring their stories to life for an audience. Workshops will take place in the Greensboro Central Library. Pre-registration is required at www.ncstoryfest.org. This project is made possible in part by the North Carolina Humanities Council, a state affiliate of the National Endowment of Humanities.
