Auditions for Annie

at Randolph Arts Guild

RSVP Community Theatre will hold auditions for its summer production of the musical Annie. This production will be held at the Asheboro High School Performing Arts Center July 24 - 26 and 31 and August 1 and 2.

All auditions will be held at the Randolph Arts Guild, 123 Sunset Avenue, in Downtown Asheboro. Auditions for children, grades 1 - 8, will be held on Saturday, May 16, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. and on Monday, May 18, from 7 - 8 p.m. Auditions for adults, high school and older, will be held on Saturday, May 16, from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. and on Monday, May 18, from 8 - 9 p.m. Auditions for the role of Sandy, Annie's dog, will be held at 6:45 p.m. on May 18.

All auditionees will be asked to sing a verse and the chorus from a song of their choosing. Those auditioning for the role of Annie should be prepared to sing the first verse and chorus of the song Tomorrow. An accompanist will be provided. Recorded accompaniment, on CD or cassette tape, may be used provided there are no vocals on the recording. All auditionees will read from the script and will be taught some basic choreography.
