Face to Face 'Word of Mouth' event at UpStage Cabaret

Come enjoy the art of conversation the way it was meant to be, up close, uncensored, and emoticon-free! On Tuesday, April 21 beginning at 7:30pm, Face to Face, a group of young people for young people of Greensboro with a mission to raise community awareness and promote positive change will host its first event at Triad Stage’s UpStage Cabaret.

To the backdrop of a DJ and a cash bar, attendees will engage in a series of casual and open discussions learning about people and issues concerning the political, environmental and social atmosphere of Greensboro and other topics of interest on local, national and global levels. The event is free and open to the public.

Face to Face kicks off its inaugural event within the WOM (Word of Mouth) series, designed to promote “friend-raising” rather than networking and stimulate true, cerebral conversation among young people of Greensboro. The experience welcomes people of all ages and specifically invites youngish (22-40), culturally diverse, free-thinking and most of all intellectually-starved citizens who are looking for an outlet to exchange ideas and get involved in the change stirring throughout Greensboro.

WOM (Word of Mouth) is one of three platforms under the umbrella of Face to Face as well as Soap Box Salon and GroundUp. Each individual program is part of the collective goal that is aimed to reach the young population of Greensboro between the ages of 22-40, from all backgrounds and ethnicities and from all sectors of the city to create an environment that stimulates interest in current issues and trends, offers concrete knowledge and encourages and provides a vehicle for ground-level, short-term and long-term change.
