Add Review/Comment
The Wake Forest University Theatre will conclude its “Season of Scandal” with William Shakespeare’s King Lear on April 3. King Lear will be directed by Dr. Cindy Gendrich, associate professor of Theatre and Dance. Our production will feature Dennis Krausnick of the renowned Shakespeare & Company, as the iconic king as well as Michael Huie, a Wake Forest University alumnus, and Ray Collins, an adjunct instructor of Theatre and Dance. The set designer is Rob Eastman-Mullins, assistant professor of Theatre and Dance. The lighting designer is Jonathan Christman, assoiciate professor of Theatre and Dance. Mary Wayne-Thomas, associate professor and chair of Theatre and Dance, is the costume designer. A searing family tragedy about greed, revenge, cruelty, and redemption, King Lear is one of Shakespeare’s most intense and unforgettable creations.
