The “Green Economy” is currently a hot topic in among policymakers, the media, and the public. But what exactly is the Green Economy, is it just another “flash in the pan,” will it create “new” jobs, how does it impact North Carolina, and what steps is North Carolina taking to make sure it plays a lead role in that economy? Dr. John Hardin, Acting Executive Director of the North Carolina Board of Science and Technology, will answer these questions and others. He will also provide information about the North Carolina Green Business Fund, a grant program administered by his office and designed to help grow the Green Economy in North Carolina.

Free and open to the public. One hour presentation, followed by reception, in the Maple Room of the Elliott University Room.
