Auditions for John Brown's Body

Add Review/Comment2 men and 1 woman (age 20-60) – speaking roles only. Portions of the poem will be read by actors and accompanied by rousing spirituals sung by the Piedmont Chamber Singers. The Little Theatre encourages non-traditional casting. All interested persons are urged to audition. An adaptation of Stephen Vincent Benét’s poem which begins with John Brown’s attack on Harper’s Ferry and goes through the Civil War. Told from the points of view of Jack Ellyat, a Northern soldier, and Clay Wingate, a Southern soldier. Directed by Christine Gorelick Production Dates: March 2 and 3, 2007 at 8:00 p.m. -- SECCA
