First Friday in Downtown Greensboro!

The community is invited to a self-guided tour of local art galleries and studios, museums, retail shops, restaurants and alternative arts venues the first Friday of every month from 6-9pm,and many of the participating locations will host special events, promotions and demonstrations and some venues may offer extended hours past 9pm and refreshments. A detailed, downloadable map will be available on the day of the event on a dedicated Web site, www.downtownfridays.com. Dozens of Downtown restaurants will also be open offering regular hours. This once-a-month, Downtown event will continue through 2009 on every first Friday of every month from 6-9pm. Also...
"Anticipation of the Day"
A collection of landscapes featuring sunrises and sunsets, as well as a collection of framed watercolors will be on display at Liberty Oak Restaurant 100-D W. Washington St. Downtown Greensboro, NC on May 1st. Opening reception from 6 to 9pm, please stop by and meet the artist as well as try the new menu and expanded wine selection.

So many different things to see. Most shops are locally owned and the galleries show really cool art that is affordable to high end. First Friday is really cool-most of the shops stay open especially... Expand
