First Friday in Downtown Greensboro!

The community is invited to a self-guided tour of local art galleries and studios, museums, retail shops, restaurants and alternative arts venues the first Friday of every month from 6-9pm,and many of the participating locations will host special events, promotions and demonstrations and some venues may offer extended hours past 9pm and refreshments. A detailed, downloadable map will be available on the day of the event on a dedicated Web site, www.downtownfridays.com. Dozens of Downtown restaurants will also be open offering regular hours. The newest addition to the center city is the organic pizza shop, Mellow Mushroom, at 609 S. Elm St. Be one of the first to experience this pizza sensation. This once-a-month, Downtown event will continue through 2009 on every first Friday of every month from 6-9pm.
