Climate change public lecture

N.C. A&T will host a public lecture with Dr. Michael Mann, a climate change expert at Penn State University. Mann will speak on "Dire Predictions: Understanding Global Warming" in February in the Stalling Ball Room at A&T. 

Dr. Mann was a Lead Author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Third Scientific Assessment Report, and has served as chair for the National Academy of Sciences 'Frontiers of Science'. He has received the outstanding publication award from NOAA, and in 2002 was selected as one of the 50 leading visionaries in science and technology by Scientific American. He is author of more than 100 peer-reviewed and edited publications, and recently co-authored the book “Dire Predictions: Understanding
Global Warming” with colleague Lee Kump. He is also a co-founder and avid contributor to the awardwinning science website “RealClimate.org”.
