First Friday in Downtown Greensboro!

www.downtownfridays.com December 5, 2008 Art galleries and shops open until 9pm, free hot cider, free horse and carriage rides, live music and more! The community is invited to a self-guided tour of local art galleries and studios, museums, retail shops, restaurants and alternative art venues on the first Friday of every month. Many of the participating locations will host special events, promotions and demonstrations. A detailed map and guide of participating galleries and shops will be available on the day of the event on a dedicated website for the event, www.downtownfridays.com. Most stores will also have a map/guide on hand for easy navigation. First Friday, December 5th also marks the 20th Festival of Lights celebration headed by Grassroots Productions Ltd. In addition to this annual holiday tradition that will span from the 600 block of South Elm Street to Center City Park, free hot cider and romantic horse and carriage rides are a special part of this First Friday programming, in partnership with Festival of Lights, to usher in the holiday season.
