Crosslove Theatre announces auditions for "The Scarlet Pimpernel," a swashbuckling adventure comedy. Actors in this show will get to engage in some sword play, and take on roles not found anywhere else, guarenteed. "The Scarlet Pimpernel" will be directed by Artistic Director Mike Gilbert. Performances will be held February 20-22 & 27-March 1. Rehearsals are mostly Sundays from 5pm-8pm, Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 7pm-10pm, with two Saturdays (Jan. 10 & Feb. 14) from 10am-5pm with a 1 hour lunch break. Rehearsals begin Sunday, January 4. Those interested in auditioning should bring a 16 bar song (memorized - accompanist to be provided) and be prepared to read from the script and do some improv. We are looking for NO LESS than 8 men and 4 women, however, we will certainly expand as needed.

My daughter just read this book a week ago. She enjoyed the performance very much as did I. The young actors were very credible. We were very impressed. Great comedy as well.

Absolutely captivating and entertaining from beginning to end. For amateur actors, everyone in the cast gave a stellar performance, especially Ed Allen (The Old Man) who is better than the movie version character! Director Mike Gilbert is a master at his craft and his adaptation of this clasic, hilarious Christmas tale for this venue is spectacular. I left the theatre still chuckling at the very funny scenes and the actors who made it all come alive. I would recommend this entertaining Christmas classic for anyone who wants to get into the Christmas spirit in a hurry! Collapse
