Join us for an exciting evening of original works featuring music, drama, and dance performances presented by ART TASTING, an emerging performing arts organization based in Winston-Salem. Admission is $6 for the general public, $3 for students. This particular performance will provide a 'Taste' of what ART TASTING does and will also be a benefit to support and expand the work that the organization is doing in the community. Additional tax-deductible contributions are welcome. ART TASTING, a non-profit organization founded by collaborative director Suzana McCalley, was established to challenge the limitations of what counts as art, who gets to do art, and where, how and why art is done. Operating on the principle that art is for everyone, the organization has programs in place at the Children's Home and a number of senior citizens' homes in Winston Salem that promote exploring each individual's unique creativity. ART TASTING is committed to giving a voice to traditionally undervalued and under-exposed artists and art by facilitating works of unlikely artists and unlikely art forms in unlikely spaces. “We have a passion for sharing art with our community that is intentionally designed to positively impact social issues by encouraging new and creative ways of thinking about them,” says McCalley.
