 antseeking basics for artists and authors. on March 18th from 11:00 a.m. &
 ndash\; 12:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Central Library at 660 West 5t
 h St. in Winston-Salem. The Grantseeking Basics session will be led by Kie
 f Schladweiler\, Coordinator of Cooperating Collections with the Foundatio
 n Center in New York City (http://foundationcenter.org). The course will p
 rovide an overview of the funding research process for individuals seeking
  grants from foundations\, corporations\, and grantmaking public charities
 . Mr. Schladweiler will offer tips on how best to identify funding sources
 \, highlighting the electronic and print resources available for your free
  use at the Central Library of the Forsyth County Public Library\, a Coope
 rating Collection of the Foundation Center. The workshop will include a de
 monstration of the Foundation Grants to Individuals Online\, the Foundatio
 n Center's searchable database providing information on more than 6\,500 g
 rantmakers that provide funding directly to individuals. The presentation 
 will also include an overview of the free resources on the Foundation Cent
 er's web site.\n\nStart time: 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.\n\nThe Speaker: Ki
 ef Schladweiler has been the Foundation Center’s Coordinator of Cooperat
 ing Collections since 2005.  Prior to that he served as the Center’s onl
 ine librarian for several years. He joined the Foundation Center in 1999 a
 fter working as a reference librarian for The New York Public Library. He 
 received his M.A. in Library and Information Science from the University o
 f Wisconsin-Madison.
