 er as a family while gardening in our back alley with the help of local pl
 ant professionals and seasoned Urban Green veterans.\nThrill to a touch of
  the wild through our urban petting zoo\, brought to you by the Natural Sc
 ience Center of Greensboro. Lastly\, engage your child in creative reuse t
 hrough our sustainable toys workshop. We will be making houses\, little wo
 rlds\, telescopes and games out of kitchen recyclables.\nElsewhere's 'Urba
 n Green' is more than just growing plants\; it is growing our community.\n
 Within the urban garden\, tomatoes\, peas and eggplants hang from repurpos
 ed plastic soda bottles\, earthen clay walls support visitors and raised b
 eds with the help of reused glass bottles and a bamboo arbor shelters peop
 le and plants alike from the sweltering sun.\nAdditionally\, there is a la
 rge-scale vermicomposting bin that sits behind glass\, where the worms and
  their function of transforming food waste into rich\, dark soil is on dis
 play for all to see. Lastly\, the garden enjoys plentiful water\, thanks t
 o an integrated rain catchment system that routinely fills three 55-gallon
