  University Galleries exhibit that showcases artwork from instructors\, pr
 ofessors\, and administrators of several historically black colleges and u
 niversities (HBCUs) from across the nation. Originally organized by the Na
 tional Alliance of Artists from Historically Black Colleges and Universiti
 es (NAAHBCU) and the APEX Museum in Atlanta\, GA. The theme of the exhibit
 ion is New World Slavery\, a painful reminder of United States history tha
 t has been chronicled by many artists. However\, the art work in this exhi
 bition expands the disclosure to include themes of pride\, resistance\, re
 storation and disporic consciousness\, themes central to the work of many 
 African American artists. A special gallery walk-through led by Shawnya Ha
 rris\, director\, will occur Saturday\, Feb. 7\, 1-2:15PM.\n\nStart time:
